# The Local Authorities etc. (Miscellaneous Provision) Order 1977, Note: Explanatory note


This Order makes further provision incidental, consequential, transitional and supplementary to the Local Government Act 1972 and the Water Act 1973, relating to—
the amendment of certain Acts and instruments;
certain franchise and prescriptive rights;
the powers of statutory water undertakers to lay mains; and
the transfer of certain property, etc.
