# The Local Authorities (Members' Allowances) (Amendment) Regulations 1996, Regulation 1: Citation, commencement and interpretation


(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Local Authorities (Members' Allowances) (Amendment) Regulations 1996 and shall come into force on 1st April 1996 (“the commencement day”).
(2) In these Regulations `the principal regulations' means the Local Authorities (Members' Allowances) Regulations 1991.
