# The Local Authorities (Referendums)(Petitions)(England) Regulations 2011, Regulation 2

Extent: E+W

(1) In these Regulations—
“the 1972 Act” means the Local Government Act 1972 ;
“the 1983 Act” means the Representation of the People Act 1983
“the 2000 Act” means the Local Government Act 2000.
(2) Except where expressly stated to the contrary, any reference in these Regulations to a section followed by a number is a reference to the section bearing that number in the 2000 Act.
