  "text": "In this Order—\n“the 2006 Rules” means the Local Elections (Parishes and Communities) (England and Wales) Rules 2006;\n“community council election” means an election of councillors conducted under the 2006 Rules in Wales;\n“elected mayor” has the same meaning as in section 39 of the Local Government Act 2000;\n“European Parliamentary election” shall have the same meaning as in section 27(1) of the Representation of the People Act 1985;\n“mayoral election” means an election conducted in accordance with rules made under section 44 of the Local Government Act 2000 for the return of an elected mayor;\n“principal area election” means an election conducted under the Local Elections (Principal Areas) (England and Wales) Rules 2006;\n“relevant election or referendum” means one or more of the following—\n(a) a Parliamentary election;\n(b) a European Parliamentary election;\n(c) a principal area election;\n(d) a mayoral election; and\n(e) a referendum,\nthe poll at which is taken together with the poll at a community council election; and\n“referendum” means a referendum conducted in accordance with regulations made under section 45 of the Local Government Act 2000.",
