# The Local Government Act 2000 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2000, Article 2: Provisions coming into force on 18th October 2000


The following provisions shall come into force on 18th October 2000—
(a) sections 1 to 9;
(b) in Schedule 6, the repeal—
(i) in section 25(8) of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976, of the words from “Without prejudice” to “inhabitants of its area)”;
(ii) in section 13 of the Inner Urban Areas Act 1978, of the words “section 137(1) of the Local Government Act 1972 or”;
(iii) of section 11A(4) of the Housing Act 1985; and
(iv) of sections 34 and 35 of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989; and
(c) section 107(2) to the extent that it relates to the repeals referred to in paragraph (b) of this article.
