  "text": "(1) The Local Government (Best Value) Performance Indicators and Performance Standards Order 2003 is amended as follows.\n(2) In article 16 (performance indicators for fire services) for the words “1 to 11” substitute “1 to 7”.\n(3) For Schedule 14 substitute—\n“SCHEDULE 14\nArticle 16\nFIRE SERVICES PERFORMANCE INDICATORS\nIndicator Number\nDescription of indicator\n1\nThe number of calls to fire attended:\n(a) total calls (excluding false alarms) per 10,000 population;\n(b) primary fires per 10,000 population;\n(c) accidental fires in dwellings per 10,000 dwellings.\n2\nThe number of—\n(a) deaths; and\n(b) injuries (excluding precautionary checks),arising from accidental fires in dwellings per 100,000 population.\n3\nThe percentage of accidental fires in dwellings confined to room oforigin.\n4\nThe number of calls to malicious false alarms per 1,000 population.\n5\nFalse alarms caused by automatic fire detection apparatus per 1,000 non–domestic properties.\n6\nExpenditure per head of population on the provision of fire and rescueservices.\n7\nNumber of deliberate fires per 10,000 population.\n”",
