# The Local Government (Best Value) Performance Indicators and Performance Standards (Amendment) Order 2004, Article 8: Performance indicators for environmental services

Extent: E+W

(1) For article 9, substitute—
“9. (1) The performance of waste disposal authorities, in exercising all of their functions, shall be measured by reference to indicators 1 to 5 and 7 to 9 in Schedule 7 to this Order.
(2) the performance of waste collection authorities, in exercising all of their functions, shall be measured by reference to indicators 1, 2,5,6, 8 and 9 in Schedule 7 to this Order.”.
(2) In Schedule 7 (environmental indicators)—
(a) for indicator 2, substitute—
“The percentage of the total tonnage of household waste arisings which have been sent by the authority for composting or for treatment by anaerobic digestion.”; and
(b) delete indicators 10 and 11.
