  "text": "Indicator Number\nDescription of Indicator\n1\nDomestic burglaries per 1,000 households and percentage detected.\n2\nViolent crimes per 1,000 population and percentage detected, broken down to show—\n(a) violent offences committed by a stranger per 1,000 population;\n(b) violent offences committed in a public place per 1,000 population;\n(c) violent offences committed in connection with licensed premises per 1,000 population;\n(d) violent offences committed under the influence of an intoxicating substance per 1,000 population; and\n(e) in respect of local authorities and police authorities in Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Metropolitan, West Midlands and West Yorkshire only, robberies per 1,000 population and percentages of these that are detected.\n3\nVehicle crimes per 1,000 population and percentage detected.\n4\n(a) The percentage of residents surveyed who said that they feel “fairly safe” or “very safe” after dark whilst outside in the local authority area\n(b) the percentage of residents surveyed who said that they feel “fairly safe” or “very safe” during the day whilst outside in the local authority’s area\n5\nThe number of racial incidents recorded by the authority per 100,000 population.\n6\nThe percentage of recorded racial incidents that resulted in further action.\n7\nThe number of domestic violence refuge places per 10,000 population which are provided or supported by the authority.",
