  "text": "Indicator Number\nDescription of indicator\n1\nThe condition of principal roads.\n2\nThe condition of non-principal roads.\n3\nRoad safety: The number of road casualties per 100,000 population broken down by—\n(a) nature of the casualties; and\n(b) road user type.\n4\nLocal bus services (passenger journeys per year).\n5\nRoads not needing major repair:\n(a) the percentage of the principal road network where major structural treatment is not considered necessary divided by the authority’s average structural expenditure per kilometre on the principal road network over the past three years; and\n(b) the percentage of the non-principal road network where major structural treatment is not considered necessary divided by the authority’s average structural expenditure per kilometre on the non-principal road network over the past three years.\n6\nThe percentage of pedestrian crossings with facilities for disabled people.\n7\nThe percentage of total length of footpaths and other rights of way which were easy to use by members of the public.\n8\nCondition of the surface of footway.\n9\nThe number of days of temporary traffic controls or road closure of traffic sensitive roads caused by road works, per kilometre, of traffic sensitive roads.\n10\nSatisfaction with transport information.\n11\nSatisfaction with local bus services.",
