LOCAL GOVERNMENT, ENGLAND AND WALES

Whereas the Local Government Residuary Body (England), acting pursuant to article 15 of the Local Government Residuary Body (England) Order 1995^f1, has submitted proposals to the Secretary of State for the transfer of certain of its property, rights and liabilities to local authorities:

And whereas the Secretary of State has decided to give effect to those proposals:

Now, therefore, Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 22(3)(a) and 26 of the local Government Act 1992^f2, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
