# The Local Government (Structural Changes) (Transitional Arrangements) (No.2) Regulations 2008, Regulation 18: Interpretation of Part 6

In this Part—
“the 2004 Act” means the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004;

...
“joint committee” means a committee established by regulations made under section 15J(2), or treated as established by regulations made under section 15J, of the 2004 Act; and
“related planning successor”, in relation to a predecessor council whose area is to become part of the area of only one single tier council on the reorganisation date, means that single tier council.
