  "heading": "Action if referendum rejects change",
  "text": "(1) This section applies to a local authority if the change of executive arrangements—\n(a) is subject to approval in a referendum, and\n(b) is not approved in the referendum.\n(2) The local authority must publish a notice which—\n(a) summarises the local authority's proposals which were the subject of the referendum,\n(b) states that a referendum on the local authority's proposals rejected those proposals, and\n(c) states that the local authority will continue to operate the form of executive provided for by its existing executive arrangements.\n(3) The local authority must comply with subsection (2) as soon as practicable after the referendum.",
