# The Local Justice Areas (No. 2) Order 2012, Article 3: New Areas


(1) The existing areas of—
(a) Bath and Wansdyke,
(b) North Somerset,
(c) South Somerset and Mendip, and
(d) Taunton Deane, West Somerset and Sedgemoor,
are combined to become a new area named Somerset.
(2) The existing areas of—
(a) Bedford and Mid Bedfordshire, and
(b) Luton and South Bedfordshire,
are combined to become a new area named Bedfordshire.
