This Order provides for the reorganisation of the local justice areas in Gwent. A new local justice area named Gwent replaces the existing local justice areas of North West Gwent and South East Gwent. The Order is brought into force on 22nd September for the purpose of enabling appointments to be made on the basis of the combined areas and on 1st January 2007 for the substantive creation of the combined area.
