# The Local Loans (Increase of Limit) Order 2024, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 22nd November 2024
The Treasury make this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 4(1) of the National Loans Act 1968 (“the Act”).
In accordance with section 4(2) of the Act, a draft of this Order has been laid before and approved by resolution of the House of Commons.
