# The London Authorities (Meetings, etc.) Order 1964, Article 7


The meeting of the council of a London borough at which the first mayor of the borough is elected shall be the annual meeting of the council for 1965 and paragraph 2(2) of Schedule 6 to the Representation of the People Act 1948 (which has effect in relation to the council of a London borough by virtue of paragraph 21 of Schedule 3 to the London Government Act 1963) shall not apply in 1965.
