In section 7 of the London County Council (General Powers) Act 1938—

(a)

For subsection (1) there shall be substituted the following subsection—

“(1)

The Greater London Council may resolve that all or any of the persons (other than teachers) permanently employed in the whole-time service of the managers of any public elementary school in Greater London maintained but not provided by the Council as the local education authority shall be contributory employees and in that event the Local Government Superannuation Acts 1937 to 1953 and the regulations made thereunder shall have effect in relation to those persons as if they were employed by the Greater London Council.”

(b)

The words in subsection (2) from “and may amend any scheme” to the end of the subsection shall be omitted.
