# The London Docklands Development Corporation (Planning Functions) Order 1997, Introduction: Introductory text

Made 11th December 1997
Laid before Parliament 16th December 1997
Coming into force 28th January 1998
The Secretary of State for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 134(3A) and (5), 148(2) and 149(1), (3) and (11) of the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980 and sections 59 and 333(7) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, after consultation with the councils of the London boroughs of Newham, Southwark and Tower Hamlets, hereby makes the following Order—
