Article 2 Interpretation

(1)

The Interpretation Act 1889 applies to the interpretation of this order as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

(2)

In this order—

  • “the Act” means the London Government Act 1963;

  • “the City” means the City of London; and

  • “the Common Council” means the Common Council of the City of London.

(3)

In this order, unless the context otherwise requires, references to any enactment shall be construed as references to that enactment as amended, extended or applied by or under any other enactment.
