Article 2 Citation, commencement and interpretation

In this Order—

• “the 1985 Act” means the Local Government Act 1985;

• “the 1986 Order” means the London Traffic Control System (Transfer) Order 1986^f1;

• “the Common Council” means the Common Council of the City of London;

• “operative date” means 1st April 1988;

• “residuary body” means the residuary body established for Greater London pursuant to section 57 of the 1985 Act;

• “Secretary of State” means the Secretary of State for Transport.
