# The Lord Chancellor’s Salary Order 1987, Article 2: Increase of Lord Chancellor’s salary


For the amount specified in subsection (2) of section 1 of the Ministerial and other Salaries Act 1975 as the aggregate annual amount of the salary payable to the Lord Chancellor under that subsection and the salary payable to him as Speaker of the House of Lords there shall be substituted—
(a) for the period beginning with 18th May 1987 and ending with 30th September 1987, £82,690;
(b) for any subsequent period, £83,000.
