# The Lord Chancellor’s Salary Order 1988, Article 2: Increase of Lord Chancellor’s salary


For the amount specified in subsection (2) of section 1 of the Ministerial and other Salaries Act 1975 as the aggregate annual amount of the salary payable to the Lord Chancellor under that subsection and the salary payable to him as Speaker of the House of Lords there shall be substituted—
(a) for the period beginning with the day on which this Order is made and ending with 30th September 1988, £86,240;
(b) for any subsequent period, £87,250.
