# The Lotteries (Amendment) Regulations 1988, Introduction: Introductory text


BETTING, GAMING AND LOTTERIES
Made 12th December 1988
Laid before Parliament 19th December 1988
Coming into force 16th January 1989
In pursuance of section 12 of the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976, and having consulted the Gaming Board for Great Britain and such associations of local authorities as appear to me to be concerned, I hereby make the following Regulations:
