# The Lowestoft Sixth Form College (Incorporation) Order 2010, Introduction: Introductory text

The Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 16(1)(a) and 17 of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992 (“the Act”).
In accordance with section 51(3) of the Act, the Secretary of State has published a draft of the proposed order by the time and in the manner prescribed by regulation 6 of the Education (Publication of Draft Proposals and Orders) (Further Education Corporations) (England) Regulations 2001.
