# The M1 Motorway (Junction 15) Connecting Roads Scheme 1999, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 27th August 1999
The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, makes this Scheme in exercise of powers conferred by sections 16, 17 and 19 of the Highways Act 1980, and now vested in him, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf:–
