  "text": "In this Order–\n(1) all measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway;\n(2)(i)\n“principal road”\nas a classification for a highway, means that the highways is a principal road for the purposes of enactments and instruments which refer to highways classified as principal roads and is also classified for the purpose of every other enactment and instrument of which refers to highways classified by the Secretary of State;\n(ii)\n“the deposited plan”\nmeans the plan folio numbered 065/030/000003, marked ‘The M1 Motorway (Junction 15) Detrunking Order 1999’, signed by authority of the Secretary of State and deposited at the Highways Agency, St Christopher House, Southwark Street, London SE1 0TE.\n(iii)\n“the new connecting roads”\nmeans the new highways the Secretary of State proposes to construct referred to in article 3 of the M1 Motorway (Junction 15) Connecting Roads Scheme 1999; and\n(iv)\n“the Motorway”\nmeans the M1 Motorway.",
