# The M60/M62/M66 Simister Island Interchange Development Consent Order 2025, Article 21: Compulsory acquisition of land

Extent: E+W

(1) The undertaker may acquire compulsorily so much of the Order land as is required to carry out or facilitate, or is incidental to, the authorised development.
(2) This article is subject to—
(a) article 22 (compulsory acquisition of land – incorporation of the mineral code);
(b) article 23 (time limit for exercise of authority to acquire land compulsorily);
(c) paragraph (2) of article 24 (compulsory acquisition of rights and imposition of restrictive covenants);
(d) paragraph (9) of article 30 (temporary use of land for carrying out the authorised development);
(e) paragraph (1)(a) of article 32 (statutory undertakers); and
(f) article 34 (crown rights).
