# The Magistrates' Courts (Amendment) Rules 1983, Article 2


(1) Subject to paragraph (2), the Magistrates' Courts Rules 1981 shall have effect subject to the amendments specified in the Schedule to these Rules.
(2) Paragraph 3 of the Schedule shall not have effect in relation to committal proceedings which began before 24th May 1983.
