Laid before Parliament 11th March 1997
Coming into force 1st April 1997
The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the power conferred on him by section 144 of the Magistrates' Courts Act 1980, and after consultation with the Rules Committee appointed under the said section 144, hereby makes the following Rules:—
