# The Magistrates’ Courts (Amendment) Rules 2024, Rule 3: Amendments to the Magistrates’ Courts (Hearsay Evidence in Civil Proceedings) Rules 1999


In the Magistrates’ Courts (Hearsay Evidence in Civil Proceedings) Rules 1999, in rule 2 (application and interpretation) after paragraph (4) insert—
“(5) These rules shall not apply on an application for a domestic abuse protection order under section 28 of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 (domestic abuse protection orders on application).”
