  "text": "(This note is not part of the Rules)\nThese Rules amend the Magistrates’ Courts (Notices of Transfer) Rules 1988 to take account of the abolition of witness orders by the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act 1996. They remove references to the making of witness orders by the magistrates’ courts.",
