MAGISTRATES' COURTS

The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 144 of the Magistrates' Courts Act 1980f1 and sections 20(6) and 65(1) of the Youth Justice and Criminal Evidence Act 1999f2, after consultation with the Rule Committee appointed under the said section 144, hereby makes the following Rules:
