# The Manchester Ship Canal Revision Order 1987, Article 2: Interpretation


In this Order —
“the Company” means the Manchester Ship Canal Company;
“the directors” means the directors of the Company;
“the dock” means so much of the dock of the Company in the city of Salford known as Dock No. 9 as lies to the east of an imaginary straight line drawn in a south-easterly direction across the dock from National Grid reference point SJ 380428 397295;
“the harbour” means the harbour and port of Manchester.
