# The Marine Licensing (Exempted Activities) (Wales) Order 2011, Article 52: In-water hull cleaning


(1) Article 4 applies to the deposit of a substance removed from the hull of a vessel during cleaning.
(2) Paragraph (1) is subject to the condition that the removal of the substance is undertaken by hand, using only–
(a) a soft cloth,
(b) a sponge, or
(c) the bristles of a soft brush.
