# The Marine Strategy Regulations 2010, Regulation 16: Relationship with Water Framework Directive

Extent: E+W+S+NI

Nothing in these Regulations requires any action in coastal waters in so far as the objectives of the Directive are achieved by any enactment implementing the Water Framework Directive or by any provision of assimilated law other than these Regulations.
