# The Marriage (Authorised Persons) (Amendment) Regulations 1971, Regulation 1: Commencement, citation and interpretation


(1) These regulations shall come into operation on 1st August 1971 and may be cited as the Marriage (Authorised Persons) (Amendment) Regulations 1971.
(2) The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply to the interpretation of these regulations as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
