# The Matrimonial Causes (Costs) Rules 1988, Article 13: Payment of costs


(1) Where in any matrimonial proceedings the costs payable by a party are required to be taxed, they shall be payable within 14 days after the making of an order for payment made on or after the signature of the taxing officer’s certificate of the result of the taxation, or within such other time as may be specified in the order.
(2) Notwithstanding any enactment to the contrary, costs payable under an order made in proceedings pending in a divorce county court shall not be paid into court.
