# The Measuring Container Bottles (EEC Requirements) Regulations 1977, Regulation 12: Defences

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

Where an offence under Regulation 10(1)(a) or 10(1)(b) is alleged to have been committed it shall be a defence for any person charged with the offence to prove that he took all reasonable precautions and exercised all due diligence to avoid the commission of the offence.
