  "heading": "Amendment of the Measuring Instruments (EEC Requirements) (Fees) Regulations 2004",
  "text": "The Measuring Instruments (EEC Requirements) (Fees) Regulations 2004 are amended as follows—\n(a) after regulation 8 insert the following regulation—\n“Fees relating to the approval of a manufacturer’s quality system and the carrying out of EC surveillance\n8A (1) The fee payable in connection with the services provided by the Secretary of State in relation to the approval of a manufacturer’s quality system and the carrying out of EC surveillance pursuant to regulations 13 and 15 respectively of the 2000 principal Regulations shall be the sum of—\n(a) the variable fee; and\n(b) the anticipated amount of additional expense, if any, to be incurred by or occasioned to the Secretary of State by reason of employing the assistance of a third party in the relevant approval or surveillance.\n(2) The amount of the fee referred to in this regulation shall be due and payable in accordance with regulation 9.”; and\n(b) in Schedule 1, for paragraph (a) substitute the following paragraph—\n“(a) an amount per officer for the time spent in providing the service, calculated in accordance with the following table—\nRegulations relating to the relevant service\nGrade of Officer\nAmount per hour\nRegulations 4, 5, 7 and 8\nTest Engineer\nApprovals Engineer\nManager\n£75.00\n£95.00\n£120.00\nRegulation 6\nSupport Officer\nAssessor/Manager\n£80.00\n£95.00\nRegulation 8A\nAuditor\n£80.00\n”",
