# The Measuring Instruments (EEC Requirements) (Gas Volume Meters) (Amendment) Regulations 1996, Regulation 3: Power of Director to charge fees


The Director may charge such reasonable fees as he may determine in respect of any costs reasonably incurred by him for the purpose of —
(i) an examination of any pattern of instrument submitted to him in accordance with regulation 8 of the 1988 Regulations (EEC pattern approval);
(ii) considering such an application as is mentioned in regulation 13 of the 1988 Regulations (EEC initial verification); and
(iii) re-examining meters bearing the mark of EEC initial verification under regulation 4 of the Gas (Meters) Regulations 1983.
