# The Measuring Instruments (EEC Requirements) Regulations 1988 (revoked), Regulation 29: Prosecution and punishment of offences under these Regulations

Proceedings for any offence under these Regulations shall not, in England and Wales, be instituted except by or on behalf of a local weights and measures authority or the chief officer of police for a police area.
