Explanatory note

This Order amends the Merchant Shipping Act 1979 (Cayman Islands) Order 1980 so as to enable the Financial Secretary to charge for certificates given in pursuance of any provision contained in section 5(2A) of the Merchant Shipping Act (Oil Pollution) 1971 or section 4(13) of the Merchant Shipping Act 1974, as extended to the Cayman Islands by the Merchant Shipping (Oil Pollution) (Cayman Islands) Order 1975 as amended by the Merchant Shipping (Oil Pollution) (Cayman Islands) (Amendment) Order 1981.
