# Merchant Shipping Act 1979, Paragraph 12

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

Nothing in section 502 of the Merchant Shipping Act 1894 or section 18 of this Act (which among other things limit a shipowner’s liability for the loss or damage of goods in certain cases) shall relieve a person of any liability imposed on him by the Convention.
