# Merchant Shipping Act 1995, Paragraph 8


A person guilty of an offence under paragraph 6 or 7 shall be liable—
(a) on summary conviction, to a fine not exceeding £50,000, or
(b) on conviction on indictment, to a fine
on summary conviction, or on conviction on indictment, to a fine.
