  "text": "(This note is not part of the Regulation)\nThese Regulations further amend the Merchant Shipping (Fees) Regulations 1996 (S.I. 1996/3243).\nThe Regulations amend the Schedule to prescribe changes in some of the fees charged and to introduce new fees. In particular—\n(1) the hourly rate for fees relating to certain services listed in Parts I and XII has been increased from £74 to £76;\n(2) fees have been reintroduced for “out of normal hours” working (Part XII—additional charges) in respect of surveys, inspections and tests other than radio surveys (for which fees are already charged);\n(3) revised fees have been introduced in relation to services listed in Part VII (registration etc of ships and submersible craft) and Part VIII (registration of fishing vessels).\nThe Regulations also amend the statutory references in Part I, in particular adding a new Part N (Safety Management).\nThe principal changes to the fees charged are shown in the following table:\nDescription of fee\nOld fee £\nNew fee £\nRegistration of ships and
