  "text": "(1) The Merchant Shipping ((Fees) Regulations 2006 are amended as provided in paragraph (2).\n(2) For Part 5 of Schedule 1 (boatmasters’ licences) there is substituted—\n“PART 5\nBOATMASTERS’ LICENCES AND CERTIFICATES\nIn this Part—\n(a) “the 1993 Regulations”means the Merchant Shipping (Local Passenger Vessels) (Masters’ Licences and Hours, Manning and Training) Regulations 1993;\n(b) the following expressions—\n“boatmaster’s licence” and related expressions,\n“boatmaster’s certificate” and related expressions,\n“relevant local knowledge endorsement”,\n“Rhine navigation licence”, and\n“supplementary licence”,\nhave the meanings respectively given in the Merchant Shipping (Inland Waterway and Limited Coastal Voyages) (Boatmasters’ Qualifications and Hours of Work) Regulations 2006; and\n(c) “specialist endorsement” means an endorsement other than a relevant local knowledge endorsement.\nTable of fees\n(1) Item\n(2) Subject of fee\n(3) Amount of fee\n1.\nThe combined practical and oral assessment for the boatmaster’s licence taken on the same occasion\n£141\n2.\nThe practical test part of the assessment for the boatmaster’s licence\n£94\n3.\nThe oral test part of the assessment for the boatmaster’s licence\n£94\n4.\nThe issue of—\n(a) a boatmaster’s licence\n£22\n(b) a boatmaster’s certificate\n£22\n5.\nThe revalidation of—\n(a) a boatmaster’s licence\n£28\n(b) a boatmaster’s certificate\n£28\n(c) a boatmaster’s licence issued under the 1993 Regulations\n£28\n6.\nThe upgrading of—\n(a) a Tier 1 (Level 1) boatmaster’s licence to Tier 1 (Level 2)\n£28\n(b) a Group B boatmaster’s certificate to Group A\n£28\n7.\nThe endorsement of an additional operational area on a Tier 2 boatmaster’s licence\n£62\n8.\nThe replacement of a lost boatmaster’s licence or boatmaster’s certificate, except where the loss occurred through no fault of the holder.\n£18\n9.\nAn assessment for a specialist or relevant local knowledge endorsement on a boatmaster’s licence—\n(a) if taken with a generic licence assessment\n£100\n(b) if taken separately\n£109\n10.\nAn assessment for a supplementary licence by the holder of a Rhine navigation licence\n£109\n”",
