  "heading": "Amendments of Fire Protection Regulations",
  "text": "(1) The 1984 Regulations shall have effect subject to the amendments specified in the Schedule to these Regulations.\n(2) In the 1992 Regulations (which amend the 1984 Regulations), for paragraph (2) of regulation 1 there shall be substituted the following paragraph—\n“(2) (a) Except for the provisions of these Regulations specified in sub–paragraph (b) below, these Regulations do not apply to ships which are not United Kingdom ships.\n(b) The following provisions of these Regulations apply to ships which are not United Kingdom ships as well as to United Kingdom ships—\n(i) sub–paragraph (a) of paragraph (1) of regulation 2; and\n(ii) so far as providing for the insertion of a definition of “Similar stage of construction”, sub–paragraph (b) of the said paragraph (1).”.",
