They give effect in relation to United Kingdom Ships of Classes I, II, II(A) and Classes VII to IX(A)(T) inclusive, XI and XII and other ships of such Classes and Convention size and type to the relevant provisions in Chapter III in the 1983 and 1988 Amendments to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea 1974.",
