# The Merchant Shipping (Navigation Bridge Visibility) Regulations 1998, Regulation 4: Application


These Regulations apply to the United Kingdom ships, and hovercraft registered in the United Kingdom, wherever they may be, and to other ships and hovercraft when in United Kingdom waters.
