# The Merchant Shipping (Pilot Ladders) (Amendment No. 2) Rules 1972, Article 1


(1) These Rules may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Pilot Ladders) (Amendment No. 2) Rules 1972 and shall come into operation on 1st July 1972.
(2) The Interpretation Act 1889 shall apply to the interpretation of these Rules as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament and as if these Rules and the Rules hereby revoked were Acts of Parliament.
(3) The Merchant Shipping (Pilot Ladders) (Amendment) Rules 1971 are hereby revoked.
